Lana’s performance style

Lana is a firm believer in the ancient art of storytelling using voice, body and imagination. Original creation is key to this highly theatrical experience that encompasses the listener with important words, messages and emotionally charged music played live. Listeners will be invited to participate in gesture patterns, witness clarity in structure and purpose and hear life changing and affirming messages. Lana’s one woman shows allow a glimpse into the old way where the teller becomes all of the characters as the story unfolds. School performances run 50 minutes long.

THE FOOL AND THE STORYTELLER
Fall 2011 to Spring 2012

Set in the days of old, an innocent Fool attempts to learn a skill after his Mother has become part of the sky.  All try to teach him but fail.  Only the Word Keeper can help.  If the barefooted Fool could remember what his Mother had told him, maybe things would be better!
How often we have met this same Fool on our own life journey.  Follow  Lana’s heart to a very important and universal truth about the different styles of learning and fall back into Tom’s music that will lull you into the Land of Story where anything is possible.

Themes: learning through the senses, understanding
Curriculum ties: structure, the magic three, message
