Many thanks to all for the support and celebration! In June, a crowd of friends and colleagues helped propel MOTHERLOAD/MOTHERLODE. Tears of joy and laughter permeated the evening with a presentation from Lana and Tom accompanied by a long list of thanks from the very grateful artist!
In August, Lana received a lifetime achievement award at the Betty Mitchell Awards night in Calgary Alberta.
A standing ovation from her peers left her speechless as Lana accepted THE DUVAL LANG AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN THEATRE FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES. It was a night to remember and Lana is deeply moved by the support of the theatre community.

The outcomes were fantastic! It was a great way to spring forward into the season and to remind us all to be proud of this vast country!
Thanksgiving Weekend!
Lana and Tom were invited back to entertain the guests at the Delta Lodge in the Kananaskis. What a beautiful backdrop for the stories. This marks their third year performing at the lodge and they have been invited back in November!

Lana's rediscovering the power of the mountains, igneous rock and erosion in this challenging exploration with vibrant grade 7 students. Grade 5 classes are delving into personifying the wetlands and creating a mythical tale around a girl's journey in Afghanistan. She is learning every minute and loving the process! Story swap will happen in January.
